Dr. Leon Paschalidis D.C., Webster Certified

Dr. Paschalidis graduated from Life University in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to studying at Chiropractic School, he attended York University in Toronto, Canada. Since he began practicing chiropractic, Dr. Paschalidis has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced chiropractic care. Dr. Paschalidis is an expert in various chiropractic techniques to perform adjustments to the spine and various joints of the body. He was the president of the Thompson Technique Club (a chiropractic adjusting technique) for 2 years at Life University and as such has advanced training in this particular technique.  He then moved back to his home town of Toronto to open 'Thornhill Family Chiropractic' with his high school friend Dr. Dennis Stathopulos in 2009.

Having a passion for his community, Dr. Paschalidis has helped people who were suffering with symptoms such as low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches, migraines, shoulder pain, spinal stenosis, disc herniations, numbness and tingling to name a few.

Dr. Paschalidis is currently a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is certified to perform the Webster Technique. The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment to the sacrum (bone at the base of the spine) in all weight bearing people especially pregnant women that reduces interference to the nervous system and balances pelvic muscle and ligaments. This in turn improves neurobiomechanical function in the sacral/pelvic region.  Sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labour for the mother (i.e dystocia).  Dystocia is caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby malpresentation.  The correction of sacral subluxation may postively effect all these causes of dystocia.  Dr. Paschalidis recommends all pregnant women be evaluated throughout their pregnacy as their bodies are constantly changing day-by-day, especially evaluating for sacral subluxation.

Dr. Paschalidis has experience in treating the general population including pregnant women and treating children of all ages. He welcomes all families to drop by the office for a tour and general information.

"Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.  I know you're probably searching for answers, and I've made it a personal goal of mine to give my absolute best to every single person who visits our clinic.  I know the hardest part of anything new, is the beginning.  I always tell people that you have nothing to lose, but everything to gain, by just taking some time to speak with me and be evaluated.  It is one thing to get someone out of pain and change their lives, but it is another to do it without the use of medication.  You'll find me constantly telling patients that pain is not the problem, but merely the response, and we need to find the root cause of the WHY the pain is occurring.  The only way to know if we can help is to call and book your appointment today.  I look forward to seeing you soon!"

Dr. Dennis Stathopulos D.C., B.Sc.

Chiropractic first became a part of my life when I was 11 years old after a soccer injury, and it has been a part of it ever since.

Growing up playing competitive soccer and hockey, chiropractic always helped me stay in the games, but it wasn’t just to treat injuries. I found that for me chiropractic’s greatest benefit was keeping me healthy and fully mobile. It was the chiropractic philosophy of maintaining body function that allowed me to better deal with the day to day stressors of life and the increased stressors of playing competitive sports. That’s why, while attending undergraduate studies at York University in the Honours B.Sc. Kinesiology program, I decided that I wanted to go to Chiropractic college.

So I moved to St. Louis, MO to attend Logan College of Chiropractic. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic, I moved back to Toronto and worked with Dr Gary LuePann as an associate. Dr Gary was a great mentor and I learned a lot of things from him.

Then in 2009, my high school friend, Dr. Leon Paschalidis and myself opened Thornhill Family Chiropractic. To this day, after delivering thousands of adjustments, we are still in awe of the body’s amazing ability to heal when given the right environment and circumstances. And that is exactly what we do at Thornhill Family Chiropractic. Through gentle and effective adjustments delivered to immobile spinal joints, we are able to help the body get into a more efficient and balanced state, which allows it to function and work better (thus healing and repairing better.)

Now, my wife Zena and my two children are all under chiropractic care. I want to make sure that they benefit from chiropractic just as I’ve been fortunate enough to and give them every chance to be as healthy and vibrant as possible and we want the same for you and your family too!!
